Okay let's face it most of us love pets right? Well so do I, but due to unknown forces I am not able to keep one alive. They have all died very strange deaths. On this page I am going to tell you about a few of my former pets and you be the judge. |

I once had a guinea pig named Rover. I bought him as a first pet for my son at someone elses suggestion. He was wonderful, very playful and seemed to fit right in. One day he started breathing funny, so I took him to the vet. The vet asked if he had ever been seen before and I said no. He gave me a long lecture on adding liquid vitamins to Rovers water, for it seemed as though Rover had caught a cold. (Poor Rover) Anyways the vet also decided that he should take Rovers vitals, just for the records you know, him being a new patient and all. He got out this thermometer that was an exact replica of the ones we use to take out own temps. I asked the vet if that was the only size they had and he said it was standard procedure. He guided the the thermometer into Rovers tiny behind and guess what! Rover had a heart attack and died right then and there! Needless to say I was not billed for that. Lucky the not so lucky tadpole. We found this Tadpole and thought it would be cool to watch it turn into a frog. It was huge! Almost the size of my hand. We kept him on the back porch. Then one day a kid in the neighborhood came over and smashed him with a rock. Did Lucky Survive? No Such Luck. |
Update Feb 2004: All of my turtles have been released back into the wild now... they were
just getting to big to keep indoors, but they survived life with me so I figured they would surely be able to live in the
wilderness.

UPDATE:
It seems as though my luck with pets has changed...It's 2003 now and
not only do I still have Majiek, but I also have 2 other turtles... Freddy
and Franklyn. They seem to be doing quite well together even though they are all different types of turtles.
Besides the turtles I also
have had 3 cats. Rufus, Juno and Callie. Rufus and Juno couldn't seem to get the hang of the litter
box so unfortunately I had to find them new homes... sadly that didn't happen quick enough so now Callie
is pregnant by Juno and I am expecting kittens anyday! I am a nervous wreck over this whole
thing because I have never been around an animal giving birth brfore in my life! Callie is totally anti social and doesn't
seem to like me very much. I think it is because I called her ugly once. I watched that show on animal planet... the one where
that chic talks to the animals dead or alive.. and so I have tried talking to my cat and telling her I'm sorry about that,
but she doesn't seem to be real forgiving. I figure maybe my cat is inside of this one.

I had completely given up on the idea of
ever having another pet, but while rock hounding my oldest son picked up a beautiful rock... much to our amazement little
legs and a head popped out. Now we have a turtle we named Majiek. She is so cute, and so far she is alive... So keep your
fingers crossed for Majiek.
Majiek is so cute and tiny. From what I figure she
is a slider turtle. She was born sometime this past spring and most likely would have been eaten by another fish had we not
found her. She is so sweet she gives me kisses and even comes when I call her name. She is hand fed and believe it or not
very fast and durable.
UPDATE: 2-27-03 at about Noon my cat Callie gave birth to 4 of the cutest kittens I've ever seen... Of course she decided
to do this in my closet so I spent the day moving all of my things into my son's room. Everything went fairly well except
I had to cut 2 of the umbilical cords. I need to move into the country as I am slowly turning into the cat lady.
